Can you play music at our ceremony?
While there may be an additional charge, we would be happy to perform at your ceremony by either providing appropriate music or just providing our sound system.
We saw a DJ who sings and dances with our guests, can you do that?
Unfortunately we are not a singing and dancing type of entertainer. While we may lead your guests in some songs like the YMCA or line dances, that is the extent of our expertise. However, we have worked closely with Entertainers that do these types of events and will be happy to recommend some to you. This is why we ask for a consultation before we allow a customer to book with us, to make sure we are a right fit for their vision.
We saw a DJ pass out hats, leies and other props, do you do that?
While this is not part of our standard package, we can bring these items upon request. During your consultation, please let us know that this is something you would like at your reception.
I have a wedding coordinator/photographer/banquet hall manager/etc, do you interact with them throughout the event?
Absolutely. When you have experienced as many receptions as we have, you learn quickly that communication helps make events easy and fun. While most times we find ourselves as the Master of Ceremonies, we have no problem working with a coordinator or other professional to make sure your wedding day is exactly as you envisioned it.
We make sure we communicate with all the professionals you hire to assure that everyone knows what is going on so that the photographer doesn't miss anything, so the banquet hall knows when to serve dinner or adjust lighting, and so you don't have to worry about these kinds of details.
Do you take requests?
This is something each couple must decide on and is discussed during our consultation. Mostly, we take requests from the bride and groom, and take suggestions from everyone else.
Using our music selection, we ask the bride and groom to come up with song lists of songs they must have played, songs they would like to play, and songs they definitely don't want played at their reception.
Depending on the wishes of the bride and groom, we can allow guests access to our music selection system to make suggestions, we can place suggestion sheets at the dinner tables, and/or we can just allow people to come up to the DJ Table.
What does the banquet hall need to provide?
We ask for at least a six foot retangular table to be set up near the dance floor with an electrical outlet within 30 feet. We ask that this outlet be on its own circuit.
Once you book us and provide the name of the hall, we will contact the hall directly (if we are unfamiliar with the hall) to assure we will be provided with what we need.
Do you perform at outside weddings and receptions?
Yes, though there are additional challenges with an outdoor event. Depending on the area, we may need to bring additional sound equipment and we require some kind of overhead protection.
Do we need to provide food for the DJs?
This is entirely optional. While many clients decide to include a meal for the professionals working the wedding, it is not something that is expected. If you choose not to provide a meal, please make us aware in advance.
